Clean Lines.
Smooth Finishes.
Beautiful Results.
Salt air and coastal sun are hard on a house. We prep for that properly, visibly, and in writing, so your finish outlasts the season it was applied in. Owner-operated for 20 years.

It is almost never the paint that failed.
When an exterior peels three years in, the homeowner blames the product. It is usually the four hours nobody watched.
The wall that was not washed down to bare substrate. The chalk left under the primer. The fascia end that was soft before the first coat went on. Between the marine layer and the afternoon sun, a Central Coast home cycles damp to hot nearly every day of the year, and that cycle finds every shortcut.
- Wash first, alwaysSalt film and chalking removed before a drop of primer.
- Repair before finishSoft wood replaced, not filled and painted over.
- Spec per elevationSouth and west walls get a different plan than north.
- Written downPrep, product, sheen and coats, itemized on your estimate.
Six trades, one crew, one name on the estimate.
Everything below is performed by our own team. Nothing is farmed out to a subcontractor you have not met.

The parts of hiring a painter that usually go wrong.
These are the four things homeowners tell us went sideways last time. They are written into how we run every job.
A written estimate, itemized
You see the prep, the products, the coats and the timeline before you agree to anything. No verbal ballparks that grow later.
Gus is on your job
The owner walks the site, writes the estimate and works the job. You are not handed off to a sales rep and a crew you never met.
Licensed and insured, verifiably
CSLB License #976750, active since 2006, with full liability and workers' comp. Look it up before you hire anyone, including us.
We leave it cleaner than we found it
Furniture covered, floors protected, hardware bagged and labeled, jobsite swept at the end of every day the crew is on site.

Gus Piñon, and a name he has to live with.
Piñon Painting is not a franchise and there is no call center between you and the person holding the brush. Gus has been licensed in California since 2006, lives in Arroyo Grande, and runs into his customers at the grocery store.
The fine finishes half of the name is not decoration either. Venetian plaster, limewash and hand-glazed work are a genuinely different craft from rolling walls, and very few crews on this stretch of coast do both well.
Reviews from people whose houses you can drive past.
“Gus did a terrific job on painting my exterior trim and garage door. Beautiful quality work!”
“Piñon Painting has been a great company to work with: professional, communicative and genuinely easy to deal with from the estimate through the final walkthrough.”
“I called and they were able to come within the hour. Responsive when I needed someone quickly, and the work held up.”

Straight answers to the awkward questions.
How much does it cost to paint a house on the Central Coast?
Honestly, nobody can tell you over the phone and mean it. Price is driven by square footage, substrate, how much prep and repair the surfaces need, product selection, and access. What we can promise is that you get a written, itemized estimate after a real walkthrough, so you can see exactly what you are paying for instead of a single number with nothing behind it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. California Contractors State License Board license #976750, active since 2006, with liability coverage and workers' compensation. You can verify any California contractor at cslb.ca.gov in about thirty seconds, and you should, for us and for anyone else you are considering.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. The walkthrough and written estimate are free, and there is no deposit required to get on the calendar for one.
How far out are you booking?
It moves with the season. Exteriors fill up through the dry months and interiors are steadier year-round. Call and we will tell you the honest current window rather than promising a start date we cannot hold.
Who actually shows up to do the work?
Augustus “Gus” Piñon and his crew. Gus walks the site, writes the estimate and works the job. You are not being sold by one person and then handed to a subcontractor you have never met.
What areas do you serve?
Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Grover Beach, Nipomo and San Luis Obispo, plus the surrounding SLO County communities. If you are just outside that, call and ask. We will give you a straight yes or no.
Tell us about your project
Send a few details or call and talk to Gus directly. You will get a written, itemized estimate, and a straight answer about what your home actually needs.
