Cabinet refinishing that reads as new millwork, not painted cabinets
Cabinets are the hardest finish in a house to get right. They get grabbed, splashed, steamed and slammed every single day, and every brush mark shows under kitchen lighting. Done right, with degreasing, deglossing, a bonding primer, sprayed topcoats and a full cure before reassembly, refinishing gives you the look of new doors at a fraction of a replacement kitchen.

Every line below appears on your estimate. If something is not listed, ask. We would rather over-explain than surprise you.
Labeled teardown
Doors, drawer fronts and hardware come off, get numbered and bagged, and go back exactly where they started.
Degrease, then deglossed
Kitchen cabinets carry years of cooking oil. Skip the degreasing step and the best primer on the market will still peel.
Bonding primer
Specified for your substrate: thermofoil, laminate, oak, maple and previously finished cabinets all need different handling.
Sprayed finish coats
Doors and fronts are sprayed in a controlled area and racked flat, so you get an even film with no brush texture.
Grain filling on request
Open-grain oak can be filled and sanded for a smooth, contemporary painted look instead of a painted-oak look.
Cure time respected
Cabinet coatings need real cure time before they take daily abuse. We stage reassembly around it and tell you when to load them back up.

About cabinet painting & refinishing
How much cheaper is refinishing than replacing cabinets?
It varies with kitchen size and condition, but refinishing typically lands at a small fraction of a full cabinet replacement, and it does not require demolition, new countertops, or a kitchen you cannot use for weeks. If your boxes are solid and the layout works, refinishing is usually the better spend.
How long is my kitchen out of commission?
Most kitchens run three to five working days on site. You keep your sink and appliances throughout; what you lose is cabinet access while doors are off and curing.
Will the finish chip or peel?
Not when the prep is right. The failures people describe almost always trace back to skipped degreasing, no bonding primer, or cabinets put back into service before the coating cured. Those three steps are non-negotiable on our jobs.
Can you refinish oak cabinets so the grain does not show?
Yes. Open-grain oak can be grain-filled and sanded before priming for a smooth modern look. It adds labor, so we price it as an option and show you both on a sample door.
Do you replace hinges and hardware?
We can. Swapping to soft-close hinges or new pulls at the same time is efficient since everything is already off. It is listed separately on the estimate.
